Where the forest became a library
Located in the Gosaikunda Rural Municipality of Rasuwa, Gatlang is a village with significant tourism and traditional importance. Situated at an altitude of 2,200 to 2,300 meters above sea level, around 6,000 tourists used to visit Gatlang every year prior to the 2015 earthquake. Ganesh Himal and the Langtang mountain range can be observed from Gatlang. The famous Parvati Kunda is located here. The route to the popular tourist destination Ruby Valley and the Tamang Heritage Trail also passes through Gatlang.
